Life Lately: Where did March go?

Spring break came and went all too fast. I was lucky enough to soak up as much of the Arizona sun as humanly possible in 3 short days, and made a necessary pit stop to In-N-Out. Why on earth hasn’t the Midwest discovered this southern delicacy?

I fell in love with AZ, and can’t wait to go back and hike those beautiful mountains! After leaving all too soon, I switched climates for the last Snocross race of the season. I cannot believe how fast this season flew by. I always get a little pit in my stomach when the end draws near, because I truly love it so much. I’m so proud of my brother and all that he accomplished this season, and can’t wait until we get to do it all again Thanksgiving weekend!
Now it’s time to board the struggle bus and get back in the swing of school. Sometimes I wonder how I’ll ever make it to graduation next December!

Hard to Leave.

This weekend could not have been more beautiful. It was the first time at my cabin since January, and it was definitely a struggle (to say the least) to leave today. Being with my family at the lake is one of my favorite things in the world. Knowing that summer days are just around the corner makes it entirely impossible to be in the right mindset to finish out these last 2 weeks of school. Somehow I will finish through, but the appeal of cabin living is fresh in my mind. That blue water is calling my name! Hope your mother’s day weekend was a blessed one ♥

<—– Mara Mi
Happy Mother’s Day! My mama and made a little getaway to Stillwater while the boys were up North for fishing opener. We bopped around town and enjoyed the beautiful weather. If you have the chance to head to Stillwater this summer, make sure you stop in the store Mara Mi. It was literally my heaven on earth and I could have spent hours drooling over all the beautiful things!
I’m so grateful for the relationship I have with my mom. She’s the most beautiful woman I know, inside and out.  Even though she can be a little off her rocker at times, she truly is the best mom in the world :) Tell your mama you love her today! ♥

When Easter Bunnies & 21st Birthdays Collide

This weekend was pretty neat. Not only did it combine one of my favorite holidays and my 21st birthday, but I also got to spend it with some of my favorite people in the world. Friday night was the big 2-1 celebration. Ali along with my mom and I headed to up-town to celebrate at Chino Latino which included volcano dranks and some crazy-fun times. Now that the excitement of turning 21 has dissipated, I just feel old ;)
Easter is always a joyous occasion in the Carlson household. I love seeing my family all dolled up. (Didn’t they look dapper?) But more importantly, Easter is the most important celebration in my faith as a Christian. I well up inside when I think about the sacrifice Jesus made for us, and the joy that comes from his Resurrection. He is risen indeed- And what joy can be found in that.

I hope you all had a blessed Easter! Until next time…
